High Performance Polymers

Polymers are used widely throughout the world, and have been a key enabler for many of the products available in today's marketplace.  IST's efforts in the area of polymers have focused primarily on high performance polymers - those that enable achievement of taxing design targets such as the intersection of lightweight, high strength, and thermal stability.  IST's technical staff are experienced in both the synthesis and formulation of high performance polymers.  Examples include aircraft coatings, transparencies, and structural resins.
