IED Defense

IEDs are the leading cause of U.S. combat deaths and injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan. Every IED attack represents an attack, not just against the troops, but also against the will of the American people.

One organization that exists entirely to combat these weapons is the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO).  This organization coordinates efforts to exchange information and explore solutions to the difficult problem surrounding IEDs.  In addition to understanding the threat and the mindset of the enemy, the IED experts must also attempt to address current and evolving technical challenges. They are constantly trying to come up with new ways to confront and defeat IEDs. But technical solutions alone won't resolve the IED problem, and Infoscitex has the capabilities required to develop effective IED defeat technologies, new tactics, new techniques and new training methods.
